MW 1903

Once again, Christel Ross from Panzweiler has got the stitching bug. She worked "MW 1903" in blue.

Small samplers from Dusseldorf can be so nice! The beginnings of the Higher School for Girls Derendorf, a suburb of Dusseldorf, go back to 1878. During the great industrialization in Germany, the local iron and textile industries grew and caused an explosive increase in population even by immigration from the Netherlands and Poland.

The original is owned by my friend Margit Guerrein. It is 35 cm wide and 34 cm high.
