Angnes Müller ca. 1900

Angnes, the Pure (Chaste, Immaculate, Saint), is a variant of Agnes.

That is probably Angnes ‘third part of the school tasks in needlework lessons: a sampler with alphabets, numerals and small examples of borders. She must have had a lot of fun in her own creative part. Childishly playful and serious motifs share the lower section.

"Angnes Müller approx. 1900" belongs to my friend Margit Guerrein's large collection of school samplers.
