Leni - Rose Girl

It is quite clear that the young girl Leni loved roses: small, large, in the border, singly, in bunches or hedges beside the bench. There is even a rose alphabet.

Leni used fine woolen threads, silk, and finest glass beads. In addition, a multitude of hand-coloured embroidery patterns much sought-after and also practiced in various stitches with blanket coverage (typical for the so-called Berlin Woolwork).
